The team

EcoWorld London is part of EcoWorld International Berhad (EcoWorld International), a real estate developer listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. EcoWorld London is also partly owned by Willmott Dixon, one of the UK’s largest privately-owned construction and interior fit-out groups that has over 160 years of experience in the UK.

In 2018, EcoWorld International acquired a 70% stake in Willmott Dixon’s residential portfolio, creating EcoWorld London with twelve development sites in Greater London and the South East.

EcoWorld London always strives for excellence in every aspect of its operations, balancing its business objectives with its core value of being a caring and responsible organisation which actively contributes back to society. The Group’s developments have won numerous awards over the years, including Best New Place to Live from the London Planning Awards, Development of the Year from RESI Awards as well as the Grand Prix Award and Best Regeneration Project given by the London Evening Standard.

Our commitment to community

For us, ‘Eco’ is not just about being green-it’s something more. If our developments are to thrive and flourish for years to come, then the surrounding areas need to thrive and flourish too. We create places where everyone is welcome, and everyone’s well-being is considered  truly sustainable communities that will stand the test of time.

Here are some examples of our work with communities elsewhere:

Brentford FC & Brentford FC Community Sports Trust Partnership
EcoWorld London came on board as Principal Partner of Brentford FC. As an integral part of the enhanced partnership, EcoWorld London also joined forces with the award-winning Brentford FC Community Sports Trust with the aim of creating sustainable improvements in local facilities and active opportunities for people in surrounding communities.

START HERE programme in Poplar
Together with our JV partners Poplar HARCA, we collaborated with High Street Works to deliver a new business development scheme, START HERE, to transform Aberfeldy Street to ensure this local high street remains a vibrant community, social and commercial hub.

Alongside extensive physical street improvement works, the programme also provides business support to all existing and new businesses on the street and retail units that will be rent-free during the first year of tenancy, followed by below market rates.

Barking Careers Fair
EcoWorld London held a careers fair at our newest residential development, Barking Wharf in collaboration the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD). From the careers fair, 8 local residents were offered full-time jobs and work placements and are still employed on the project to this day.

Work during Coronavirus
EcoWorld has launched several initiatives in light of the ongoing Coronavirus situation, including:

  • Since the start of lockdown, donations totalling to £10k to several charities in every borough in which EcoWorld is currently working (including York Road Project).
  • The #EcoWorldAtHome campaign for the past 4 weeks, working with influencers on online classes and workshops covering food, health & interior design. The content is free to view on EcoWorld’s IGTV, with donations from viewers going to a different charity each week, including the York Road Project.
  • Virtual outreach to schools, including putting together a H&S presentation video for primary schools
